A new attribute in search results component with the title of “Promo Tiles layout“ will hold the information of columns to span for each promo tile defined on the relevant PD page. Below is the sample JSON configuration object

Key in the above sample JSON configuration defines the position of promo tile in relevant PD (they will have to be in sync with the promo tile positions on the PD page) and the value defines the numbers of columns the promo tiles needs to span. The configuration is the same for desktop and mobile as there is not any such distinction already in place.
If there is a PD page for a category having promo tiles but noting is specified in JSON configuration then the promo tiles will use only one column
If a promo tile needs to span just one column as existing then there’s no need to make it part of JSON config. That specific tile number can be skipped in config.
