PopSockets’ Privacy Policy

Effective Date: October 15, 2026

PopSockets is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) is designed to notify you about how PopSockets collects, uses, discloses, transfers, safeguards, and otherwise processes personally identifiable data and/or information (“Personal Information”) that we obtain through our website (the "Site") or that you provide to us through purchase of our products and use of our services. By using the Site, you acknowledge that your Personal Information will be collected, used, disclosed, and otherwise processed as described in this Privacy Policy. Where applicable law requires your consent (for example, for non-essential cookies in the European Economic Area and United Kingdom), we will request it separately. If you are in a jurisdiction outside the United States, your Personal Information may be transferred to our servers and computer systems anywhere in the world, including to countries that may not provide an equivalent level of data protection to the laws in your home jurisdiction, subject to the safeguards described in Section 4. If you provide any Personal Information that relates to another person you hereby state and agree that you have obtained proper consent from such person for the collection, use, disclosure, and processing of such Personal Information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you have accessed the Site or used our Services within the last 12 months, PopSockets has collected and disclosed the categories of Personal Information described in this Privacy Policy during that time.

1. PopSockets May Collect Personal Information

The Site actively collects Personal Information from you when you visit or register with the Site, when you send any email to the Site administrator or otherwise communicate with PopSockets, and when you request or submit any information to or through the Site. The Site may passively collect certain kinds of information that reveal the frequency with which you visit the site, the times and dates of your visits, the pages you reviewed, persons with whom you interact, and other information. Information is passively collected through various means. We use Internet protocol (IP) addresses to administer the site. We use navigational data, including log files and transmission data, to identify information about your web browser and operating system, the time period in which you visit the Site or a portion of the site and other site members with whom you collaborate. We also use third-party analytics and advertising technologies, such as cookies, pixels, and tags (described in Section 12 and our Cookie Policy), that collect information about our Site visitors, including IP address, device and cookie identifiers, and browsing and purchase activity. This information is used to administer the site, report usage metrics, and otherwise operate, improve, and provide new Site content, products, and Services. PopSockets may collect and process the following types of Personal Information from you, from your devices, and from our service providers and advertising and analytics partners:

  • Identifiers: Name, email address, postal address, phone number, user ID, the equipment used to access the Site, your internet connection, IP address, and cookie, pixel, and advertising identifiers.
  • Commercial Information: Purchase history, transaction data, and other details of the commercial transactions you carry out.
  • Usage Information: Details of your visits to our website, such as traffic data, location data, pages and products viewed, items added to cart, interactions with our emails and advertisements, and other communication data.
  • Payment Information: Credit card details or other financial information (processed by third-party payment processors).
  • Geolocation Data: General location information, such as your country, region, or city, derived from your IP address or shipping address. We use this information to display the appropriate country site, currency, and language, and to support international orders through our cross-border e-commerce provider, Global-e. This information is not precise geolocation, and we do not collect precise geolocation data (such as GPS location from your device).
  • Recording Chat Conversations: For quality assurance purposes, your chat session(s) are recorded and/or may be monitored or reviewed.
  • Inferences: Preferences and interests we derive from the information above, used to personalize your experience and our marketing.

If you opt-in to have SMS notifications sent directly to your mobile phone, we receive and store the information you provide, including your telephone number or when you read a text message. You may opt out of receiving text messages at any time by texting “STOP” to our text messages. For more information about text messages, see our Text Message Terms & Conditions.

PopSockets may process your Personal Information for the following purposes:

  • To provide and manage our products and services.
  • To process payments and fulfill orders.
  • To improve our website and user experience.

  • To detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, security incidents, and other harmful or unlawful activity.
  • To comply with legal obligations and protect against legal liability.

PopSockets will only process your data where we have a lawful basis for doing so, under an applicable law, including your consent, fulfillment of a contract, a legal obligation, or a legitimate interest.

3. Data Sharing

PopSockets does not sell your Personal Information for money or rent it to third parties. However, certain disclosures to our advertising and analytics partners described below may be considered a “sale,” “sharing,” or processing for “targeted advertising” under certain U.S. state privacy laws. You can opt out of these activities as described in Section 9. PopSockets may disclose or transfer your Personal Information as follows:

  • Service Providers: PopSockets may disclose your Personal Information to third-party vendors that provide services such as hosting, payment processing, and/or shipping.

In addition, PopSockets and its marketing technology providers (such as Klaviyo, Attentive, Richpanel, Converge, and Google Tag Manager) may disclose hashed email addresses, hashed phone numbers, customer lists, and purchase information to advertising platforms to measure the results of our advertising and to create, or exclude people from, advertising audiences.
  • Business Transfers: In case of a merger, acquisition, or sale of corporate assets, your Personal Information may be transferred – subject to the maintenance of required safeguards.
  • Legal Compliance: PopSockets may disclose your Personal Information to comply with legal obligations or respond to lawful requests.

If you contribute to a blog or review products on the Site, you should be aware that any personally identifiable information you submit there can be read, collected, or used by other users of the Site, and it could be used to send you unsolicited messages. We are not responsible for the personally identifiable information you choose to submit in these public forums.

When sharing a design or other user-generated content (“User Content”), you are making that User Content publicly available. Anyone who obtains a copy of the shared link to your User Content will be able to view it. We are not responsible for the User Content that you provide through the Site. You may have the option to delete your User Content, but in some cases, we cannot ensure that it can or will be deleted. Copies of your User Content may remain viewable in cached and archived pages, or it might have been copied or stored by other site users. Do not provide any User Content that you do not want to be accessed or used by PopSockets and third parties.

4. Geographic Data Transfers

Your Personal Information may be transferred to countries outside your jurisdiction. Where applicable, PopSockets will attempt to ensure that data transfers comply with applicable data privacy and protection laws by implementing appropriate safeguards, such as utilizing standard contractual clauses or other lawful mechanisms.

5. Retention of Data

PopSockets will retain your Personal Information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which we collected it, or as otherwise required by law. Retention periods vary depending on the type of information and the purpose of processing. In determining how long to retain Personal Information, we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the information; the purposes for which we process it and whether those purposes can be achieved by other means; and applicable legal, tax, accounting, and other requirements. Cookies and similar technologies on our Site are retained for the lifespans described in our Cookie Policy, and we scan and review these technologies at least every 10 months. Additional detail on retention by category of Personal Information is provided in Section 8.

6. Securing Your Information

The security of your Personal Information is important to us. When you enter sensitive information (such as payment card information) on PopSockets’ registration or order forms, PopSockets encrypts that information using industry-standard security measures such as Transport Layer Security (TLS). Transmissions over the Internet are never 100% secure or error-free. As a result, PopSockets does not, and cannot, guarantee the security, accuracy, or completeness of Personal Information. However, PopSockets maintains reasonable physical, electronic, and administrative procedures to protect your Personal Information against unauthorized disclosure or access.

California residents may submit requests by emailing gdpr@popsockets.com [or by calling [toll-free number]], and may submit opt-out requests through the “Your Privacy Choices” link. 9. Your Privacy Choices and Global Privacy Control

Your Privacy Choices Link. You can opt out of targeted advertising and the sale or sharing of your Personal Information by clicking the “Your Privacy Choices” link in the footer of every page of our Site. This opens our cookie preference center, where you can turn off advertising and other non-essential cookies for your browser.

Global Privacy Control. We recognize and honor opt-out preference signals, such as the Global Privacy Control (“GPC”), as a valid request to opt out of targeted advertising and the sale or sharing of Personal Information for the browser or device sending the signal and, where we can associate the signal with you (for example, when you are logged in to your account), for you. When we detect a GPC signal, our Site will indicate that your opt-out request has been honored. You can learn more about GPC at globalprivacycontrol.org.

Scope of Browser-Based Opt-Outs. Opt-outs made through our cookie preference center, or through a GPC signal that we cannot associate with you, apply only to the browser or device you are using. If you clear your cookies or use a different browser or device, you will need to renew your choice. To opt out of sales or sharing that do not rely on cookies (for example, disclosure of hashed email addresses, phone numbers, or customer lists to advertising partners), please also email us at gdpr@popsockets.com, and we will exclude your information from these disclosures going forward.

Do Not Track. Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” setting. Because there is no common industry standard for these signals, our Site does not currently respond to them. This does not affect how we honor GPC signals as described above.

12. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

PopSockets collects your Personal Information directly from you, when you provide it to us, or automatically, as you use the Site, through the use of cookies or other data tracking technologies. As further described in our Cookie Policy, we may use this Personal Information to register you with the Site, to respond to your inquiry or request, to post your submissions to the Site, to provide information to others regarding your use of the Site, and in any other way necessary in order for us to provide the Site to you. We may also use Personal Information to notify you about products and services that may be of interest to you. If you wish to subscribe to our newsletter, we will use your name and email address to send the newsletter to you. You may unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time. These technologies collect information about your browsing and purchase activity on our Site (such as pages viewed, products added to cart, and purchases) to measure performance and to deliver advertising tailored to your interests on other websites and apps. Our marketing technology providers (such as Klaviyo, Attentive, Richpanel, Converge, and Google Tag Manager, including server-side tagging) may also send hashed contact information (such as email address or phone number) and purchase information to advertising platforms to measure conversions and to build or exclude advertising audiences.

Your Cookie Choices. Where required by law (for example, in the European Economic Area and United Kingdom), we will ask for your consent before placing non-essential cookies. In other locations, you can opt out of advertising cookies as described in Section 9. You can review and change your cookie preferences at any time through the “Your Privacy Choices” or “Cookie Settings” link in the footer of our Site.

13. Links to Other Sites

Our Privacy Policy only applies to information collected by PopSockets. Our Site contains links to other third-party sites that are not owned or controlled by PopSockets. PopSockets is not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites and third parties. Neither the Site nor PopSockets services are directed to or intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from them without parental consent. We do not knowingly sell or share the Personal Information of consumers under 16 years of age, or use it for targeted advertising.

15. Access to and Correction of Your Personal Information

If you wish to update any Personal Information you have previously provided or to exercise any right of access, rectification, deletion, or opposition to the processing of your Personal Information that you may have under applicable law, please contact us at: gdpr@popsockets.com.

If you have an account on the Site, you can also review and change some of your Personal Information by logging into the site and visiting your account profile page. In some cases, we cannot delete your Personal Information except by also deleting your user account. In other cases, information such as payment records cannot be deleted. We will make commercially reasonable efforts to fulfill your request, as appropriate, but we may not accommodate your request if we believe it would violate any law, prevent us from fulfilling our legal obligations, or cause the information to be incorrect. We reserve the right to use Personal Information previously obtained to verify your identity and as otherwise described in this Privacy Policy as long as such use is consistent with applicable law.

16. Changes to this Privacy Policy

PopSockets may update this Privacy Policy from time to time at its sole discretion, except where prior notice or consent is required by law. PopSockets will notify you of any material changes by updating the “Effective Date” at the top of this page and providing notice via email or through our website. Please check this Privacy Policy frequently and please check it particularly before you submit additional information via the site. We will review this Privacy Policy, and update it as needed, at least once every 12 months.
